The Evolution of the Mobile Phones:
Psion EPOC: Apps first came with Psion’s series of handheld computers in the early 90s. EPOC was programmed in an open programming language and allowed its users to make their own applications, which later formed the foundation of the Symbian operating system.
Palm OS: Palm arose as a major opposition to Psion in the PDA market with the Palm Pilot, its low-priced, lesser functionality range of PDAs.
